During February's Subaru Loves to Help month, we continued our partnership with Operation Warm, a national non-profit dedicated to supporting needy children. This collaboration underscores our ongoing commitment to those who need assistance the most. Subaru and our retailers joined forces to visit local homeless shelters and support agencies, providing over 150,000 children with essential items such as coats, shoes, and socks. These simple yet vital items offer protection from the elements and play a crucial role in a child's mental and emotional well-being, enabling them to attend school and engage in activities without hindrance. Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and Subaru is honored to be the largest automotive supporter of Operation Warm, having already assisted over 750,000 individuals in urgent need through our partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help initiatives.

Notably, Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. stands out as the sole U.S. automobile production facility designated as a backyard wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. In the last five years, Subaru and its dedicated retailers have partnered with TerraCycle, collecting and repurposing hard-to-recycle waste into valuable goods that benefit communities. Together, we've diverted over 13 million pieces of trash from landfills, showcasing our dedication to sustainability. In June, as part of the Subaru Loves to Care initiative, Subaru teamed up with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and local hospital cancer treatment centers to provide warmth and encouragement to patients battling cancer. We distributed cozy blankets and heartfelt messages of hope personally written by retailers and Subaru customers in our stores. It's a source of pride for us to have supported nearly 300,000 cancer patients through this initiative. LLS is at the forefront of the fight against blood cancers, investing over $1.6 billion in groundbreaking research since 1949. Their efforts have led to revolutionary therapies and advancements in cancer treatment, including next-generation immunotherapies and precision medicine. With a focus on research, education, support, and advocacy, LLS is dedicated to prioritizing the needs of blood cancer patients and their families. Together with LLS and our dedicated retailers, Subaru remains committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

It's a sobering reality that millions of students attending high-needs schools lack essential supplies and learning materials critical for their academic success. Shockingly, 92% of classrooms include students whose families struggle to afford school supplies, leaving teachers to often dip into their pockets to bridge the gap. Subaru and our retailers recognize this pressing need and are steadfast in our commitment to support education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning®. By providing teachers nationwide with funding to procure the supplies and resources essential for student growth, we aim to empower educators and enhance classroom experiences. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers have already touched the lives of over 470,000 students nationwide, proudly standing as their largest corporate supporter.
