All versions of the Subaru Solterra come standard with the new Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system that will channel the output from the Subaru StarDrive technology. The total power output for the 2023 Solterra is 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque, provided via a battery pack along with the front and rear electric motors. This power allows the Solterra enough versatility for both off-road and city driving. In addition to all of the power that the Solterra provides, this SUV has up to 125 cubic feet of passenger and cargo space, a ton of leg room, and a nearly flat floor. You also get seating for up to five passengers, making it feel like a much larger vehicle. Behind the rear seats, you will find up to 29 cubic feet of space while also featuring a 60/40 folding seatback and two-position load floor for some impressive passenger flexibility. Loading and unloading are easy thanks to the wide 41.3-inch rear gate opening with low liftover height, and the standard fixed crossbar mounting points will give you more cargo-carrying capability for your adventures.

Every trim level of the 2023 Solterra comes with a massive amount of safety features thanks to the EyeSight Driver Assist technology package. This package includes safety features such as  Emergency Steering Assist, Intersection Collision Avoidance Support, Pre-Collision Brake Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Lane Tracing Assist. But wait, that's not all! You also get some additional safety items such as a Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Rear Camera Detection with Pedestrian Warning. For the first time, a Subaru comes with a 360-Degree Panoramic View Monitor that will give you an overhead view of your Solterra to get better awareness. Also new is the Safe Exit Assist, which will notify passengers of approaching vehicles while exiting the Solterra with a visual and audio warning. Automatic auto-beam headlights are also standard!

The Solterra has a high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack that provides a ton of range. You can also charge the Solterra quickly and anywhere thanks to its Level 2 AC and DC fast charging capability. If you decide on DC fast charging, the Solterra can charge up to 80% of total battery capacity in around an hour. If you want to simplify the charging experience while you are traveling, there are a few mobile apps that will work with Solterra's multimedia system to help locate all of the charging options for your vehicle nationwide, and that includes DC fast-charging stations and Level 2 charging stations. You can also charge at home quickly with Level 1 or Level 2 charging options. All told, the Solterra has a 228-mile range with all-wheel-drive.
