Subaru Sponsors Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Festival

Subaru Sponsors Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Festival

Subaru is partnering with the city of Philadelphia to celebrate the Japanese Cultural Festival and the arrival of spring! This is the fifteenth year in a row Subaru was the title sponsor of the annual Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival. This incredible event took place from April 7th through the 15th and invited people from all different backgrounds to come and experience the beauty of spring and commemorate the beautiful blossoms!

This annual festival is held to honor Japan's gift of over a thousand cherry blossom trees as a sign of friendship, to Philadelphia in 1926. Families and friends were encouraged to participate in an array of events like live music and dance performances, ikebana flower arranging, and demonstrations under the blossoms. This is a cherished celebration in the City of Philadelphia and encourages those in the community to learn more about other cultures. The centerpiece event took place on April 15th at the Horticultural Center with two stages of arts and crafts, performances, tours of Shofuso, and Little Akiba and Cosplay Circle. The event also hosts the Cherry Blossom 5K and 10K.
