We've been nationally recognized for our dedication to our community and the Subaru Love Promise.
We're honored to receive the 2022 Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment Award. This award nationally recognizes Subaru retailers who are making the world a better place while demonstrating an outstanding commitment to supporting passions and causes in local communities. These efforts are focused in important areas such as the environment, community, health, education, and pets.
Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.
Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.
A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated over $28 million to the ASPCA and through Subaru Loves Pets has helped support the rescue, transport, adoption, and well-being of over 230,000 animals across the country.
Subaru and our retailers are committed to protecting and preserving the Earth, not just by our words, but also by our actions.
Since 2018, as part of the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, Subaru and retailers across the country have partnered with TerraCycle® and have collected over 7 million pieces of hard-to-recycle trash from their communities. Items such as snack bag wrappers, coffee cups, or used cabin air filters from service areas have been diverted from landfills and given a second life by TerraCycle when it is converted into durable furniture and other usable items.
It's our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.
Since 2015 Subaru, in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement Science, donated over 369,000 award-winning science books. In addition, through our partnerships with Staples and Adoptaclassroom.org we supported teachers and students with donations of $400,000 in gift cards and school supplies.
In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.
In 2020, Subaru and its retailers made a donation to Feeding America to provide 50 million meals to help feed people in need during the COVID-19 crisis,* making meals available at 199 local food banks across the country.
*$1 helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks.
We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.
Since 2016, Subaru and its retailers have partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to donate over 167,000 blankets and 21,500 arts & crafts kits and reached nearly 150,000 patients in more than 780 hospitals nationwide.
Our Love Promise can be seen in various partnerships with local charities and non-profits. We're grateful for the opportunity, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve it as well.
Subaru and Reedman-Toll Subaru of Exton believe in making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work. We uphold that belief through our Love Promise Community Commitment. Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here.
Reedman-Toll Subaru of Exton was proud to partner with the Chester County Food Bank for a food drive in May. During these very difficult times, with the price of food rising drastically, Reedman-Toll Subaru of Exton employees & customers were all happy to donate to such a wonderful cause, which is located right in our back yard!
On Thursday, July 14th Valerie Florian, Controller, represented Reedman-Toll Subaru of Exton at a special blanket delivery to patients fighting cancer at Penn Medicine – Chester County Hospital and surrounding, connected medical facilities. Sincerest appreciation for Reedman-Toll Subaru of Exton’s partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to deliver hope in the form of warm blankets to patients, families, and caregivers. This day was made extra special by the presence of Bethany Sterling, Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner, and LLS supporter since 2007. Additionally, it was a pleasure to meet Marianne Casale, Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist and a cancer survivor herself. It was truly encouraging to hear about how much patients appreciate the support of the local Subaru retailer and LLS. Thank you for touching patients’ lives every single day and for making it possible to deliver these special blankets!
I'm one of the members of the Community Engagement team at the Brandywine Valley SPCA. We've been lucky enough to partner with Subaru at a variety of locations and events. One of our more recent events was at the Subaru of Exton. It's always exciting to come out with pups and set up shop at the dealership. The staff are always thrilled to see their furry guests for the day, and their joy is contagious. Bringing the animals to the dealership turns it into a more homey environment. People bring their kids to come see the dogs and cats, and when a companion finds their furever home, all the staff and volunteers are thrilled! Coming out with animals lets us talk to members of our community who may not have considered adopting their new family member, but seeing the adorable friends there opens up their world. At Subaru in Exton at our 2021 event, we adopted more than 3 pups out to excited families. Not to mention that Subaru always sends the families home with all kinds of goodies! My favorite are the Subaru themed BARK boxes - my dog loves the Chewbaru Outbark! Subaru has found a way to integrate animal adoption with what is a necessity and normal part of everyday life for many people - their cars. By pairing the two together, we can make adopting an animal the norm for acquiring a new furry friend. Not to mention that pet focused families need a pet friendly car! I will also say that many people I know have started to look into getting Subarus of their own to support a company that support animals. Thank you Subaru, for working with us to save lives and expand our reach to families who may not have come to the shelter originally for pets and other services they need!
Reedman-Toll Subaru of Exton and Subaru of America were proud to be able to spread the love a little further this year by helping a 3 different locations that provide services for people in need. The original organization that we had partnered with was unable to take all of the blankets that we wanted to donate, strictly due to the lack of storage space at their facility. We were able to reach out and help two other organizations in our area who were happy yo take the remaining blankets to distribute to their clients. We are proud of our new partnerships with Safe Harbor of Chester County, Friends Association (Chester County) and North Star of Chester County.
Thank you to Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton for making Brandywine Valley SPCA their local shelter partner for Subaru Loves Pets month in October! As their nominated shelter, the BVSPCA will receive a $100 donation for each pet adopted during that month (up to 31 adoptions). Jax (14) and Moo (10) were two dogs adopted in October, and what we would identify as “underdogs”. Senior dogs, Jax and Moo, came into the shelter together when their owner passed away and they found themselves without a home. It can be a challenge to find a senior dog a home, let alone two senior dogs who relied on one another. We couldn’t imagine them being apart, especially with all they had already been through, so they would have to be adopted together. A wonderful person came along and adopted both Jax and Moo. They now have a loving home where they can live out their golden years, together. The power of adoption is a beautiful thing, and we’re very grateful to Subaru and Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton for being amazing advocates for rescue and adoption!
As a homeless shelter serving single men and single women, we are able to provide housing, food, showers, laundry and support services to our residents. But a lot of people don't know that we also help the community on a daily basis with our Community Lunch Program. Every day, members of the community, not just residents, can stop by for a free lunch. They can also select items from our pantry. We typically have a selection of canned goods, baked goods, bread, meat and vegetables that people can select and take home to supplement their pantry. Sometimes we have house hold items that we can offer as well. Things like toothbrushes, jackets or socks. But our community members have grown to anticipate the arrival of the Subaru blankets! These blankets are like a hug to our community members. We love sharing these with our residents and giving them out to other homeless people as well. Just to be clear, as hard as we try and encourage the street homeless to seek shelter and come indoors, sometimes they just won't do it and we can't force them. At the least, we along with Subaru Shares the Love can offer a warm blanket for them to use in the cold. Thank you Subaru!
Reedman-Toll Subaru has supported the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation's New Coat Program since 2009, providing the gift of a new coat to hundreds of local children in need. New coats provide warmth and confidence to children living in poverty. They also relieve a burden for caregivers. Here is a thank you from Kathy and her 9-year old daughter: "It is something that my daughter needs right now and I am not in the position to buy. This coat allows me to breathe a sigh of relief knowing that my daughter has what she needs. I am very appreciative of what you do each year to ensure that children and families have what they need. Thank you for your support!"
In hospitals across the country, patients battling cancer are in the fight of their lives. They need hope. They need love. They need to know that there are Subaru retailers who care about them during this difficult time. Since 2016, Subaru of America has partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to provide love and hope to patients going through challenging cancer treatments as part of our Subaru Loves to Care Initiative. In June, we continued our partnership with LLS in supporting over 40,000 cancer patients nationwide by mailing blankets and message of hope cards written by us here at Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton and our customers directly to their homes in our area. We hope these blankets and cards will spread warmth, love, and hope where it is needed most to let these patients and their families know we care.
A few weeks ago I found a wallet in a shopping center parking lot. It was raining heavily that day, and luckily the wallet was dry, so I knew it wasn't there long. Inside the wallet was an ID, money, a Covid vaccination card, a personal business card, credit cards and a business card for Chad Vail, Sales for Reedman Toll Subaru. I tried to call the number on the personal business card, but it was an office number, and being a Saturday I knew I wouldn't reach the person until Monday. I also sent an email to the email on the card, but again, thought I wouldn't hear from them until Monday. I decided to call Chad to see if he could reach the wallet owner. When I called, Chad answered, and he was so helpful in listening to me. He took my number and was able to reach the wallet owner. About 30 minutes after speaking with Chad, the wallet owner called me, and I returned the wallet in tact! Chad's help prevented the owner from "missing-wallet panic", and saved them from the effort to replace all of the important items in the wallet, including their Covid card. Chad went above and beyond to help someone in a way that is completely unrelated to selling cars. He did a great service for someone, and I will never forget it. Thank you Chad!
I attended a Subaru Share the Love event where Brandywine SPCA volunteers brought dogs and a few cats to the dealership in hopes of finding a home for them at Christmas time. Not only did I fall in love with Marley at first sight, I fell in love with Subaru and everything they stand for. I’m now the proud owner of a Subaru & doubt I’ll ever look back. Without that event we would have never met Marley/“Marmie”,,,that’s just our story,,, ❤️Subaru and Brandywine SPCA
I’m writing with a sincere thank you for the time, effort and financial resources you have dedicated to our Driving Away the Cold new coat program. The support from our dealer members was needed more than ever this year and its impact is palpable. With your help, we gave the gift of warmth and confidence to 53,928 local children in need and your Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation is recognized as a force for good in the Philadelphia area. From me and the 250+ non-profits and school districts that distributed our new coats, we give thanks to you for helping us give more coats, and more smiles, than ever before. I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Be well!
Through our Love Promise, a commitment to support our local communities, Reedman-Toll Subaru of Exton is supporting Safe Harbor of Chester County to help people in need this winter season. More than 500,000 Americans experience homelessness each night. This November, as part of Subaru Loves to Help and in recognition of National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, Subaru and Reedman-Toll Subaru of Exton will be donating blankets to local homeless shelters across the country to help youth and all people who are without homes. As we enter the season of giving and nights get colder, we want to do our part in making a difference to those who need our help.
Thank you to Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton for nominating the Brandywine Valley SCPA as their hometown shelter to receive funding during Subaru Loves Pets month! We are so grateful that Subaru has a special interest in helping shelter animals get adopted, especially the “underdogs”. Underdogs are the hard-to-adopt shelter dogs that have special needs; dogs that may need some extra support to help them get adopted. One such underdog, is Miss Cleo. Miss Cleo came to the Brandywine Valley SPCA in heartbreaking condition, and with an unimaginable story. Suicide took Miss Cleo’s dad, her mom found him that day and had a debilitating stroke, and then the daughter passed away shortly after. At 12 years old, Miss Cleo desperately needed a break. Given the condition Miss Cleo arrived in, we can’t imagine what she had been through in her past life. She would need an adopter who could look past her matted fur and skin sores, and see the precious girl she truly was. She would need a quiet, loving home to help her heal – a home where she could live out her golden days. Miss Cleo found her happily ever after on the last day of October, aka the last day of Subaru Loves Pets month. Thanks to the awesome folks at Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton, the majority of Miss Cleo’s adoption fee was covered. It was a happy ending for all, and we are truly thankful!
Cheryl Pruskowski, Oncology Nurse Navigator of Brandywine Hospital, sent along this touching message to Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton and LLS: ------------------------------------------------------- “I hope you are doing well and enjoying the beautiful spring day. I wanted to let you know once again how much your beautiful Subaru blankets mean to our patients. The blankets bring comfort, warmth and kindness in a sad place. One of my patients was recently hospitalized and during his hospitalization decided to change his care to hospice care. He died just two days later. I attended his funeral and he was buried with his beautiful comforting Subaru blanket.Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our patients and in our community.Fond Regards,Cheryl” --------------------------------------------------------- LLS in Eastern PA so grateful for the partnership and relationship built with Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton and Brandywine Hospital. On July 11th the Eastern PA Chapter and Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton had the pleasure of delivering 80 blankets and 30 arts & craft kits to Brandywine Hospital as part of the Subaru Loves To Care program. These comforting gifts were accompanied by personalized messages of hope written by the customers and staff of Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton. Cheryl noted that giving the blankets to patients that are undergoing surgery gives them a sense of comfort throughout their treatment process. She also expressed how excited she was to be receiving the arts & craft kits again this year. The hospital staff uses these kits for art therapy for those going through treatment. “It is like Christmas Day!” she says, when her patients receive these kits. Cheryl told us the story of a patient who was struggling financially and did not have much to call her own. When she received the kit she was in disbelief that it was all for her. She was so grateful and it really helped her cope with treatment. It was a truly special day, being able to deliver these gifts and hearing of the impact they have on the strong patients battling cancer. During a time like that, it is amazing what a small gift can do. LLS is proud to partner with Subaru to spread hope, love and warmth to those fighting cancer, across the country and right here in the Eastern PA community. Thank you Reedman Toll Subaru of Exton!

We are so grateful to Reedman Toll Subaru of Downingtown and Subaru of America, Inc. for their incredibly generous donation of $5,981. Thank you so much to Reedman Toll Subaru of Downingtown for allowing us to partner with them for the wonderful 2018 “Share the Love Event!” Their support directly funds every service and program the Downingtown Library provides for free to all of our community members. The Downingtown Library is educating and empowering residents by making programs, materials, and services available to them, free of charge- that they can use to improve their lives. We help patrons acquire knowledge by answering questions, providing help connecting to library resources like databases and free public computers, and by offering programs that allow them to increase skills to improve their lives. We enrich the quality of life of those in our community by providing a safe, comfortable place to do a wide variety of things- from checking out materials, to working on group projects in the study room, to playing with children in the children’s areas filled with educational toys. In addition, we offer programs for all ages that support a wide variety of literacies- civic and social, health, information, financial, and basic literacy- helping our patrons improve their lives by learning something new, engaging in a social activity, and learning about resources in their community. Our mission is perfectly illustrated by our “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” program, which encourages families to read with their children to develop early literacy skills and promote family bonding- a program that is directly supported by Subaru’s generous donation. Thank you so much to Subaru, for helping us encourage and celebrate literacy!
Small but mighty, Brandywine Hospital was so thrilled to receive blankets and kids craft kits from Reedman Toll Subaru of Downingtown. With open arms the hospital staff and team worked together to unload the generous gifts from Subaru. General Manager Steve Moffa enjoyed learning of the brightness in the eyes of every patient when they receive a blanket. To provide a little bit of joy and hope is their goal and Brandywine Hospital couldn’t have been more grateful.
Reedman-Toll Subaru of Downingtown, PA and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Eastern PA delivered blankets as part of the Subaru Loves To Care Program to the Women’s Imaging Center waiting room at Brandywine Hospital in Caotesville, PA on July 11th, 2017. Cheryl Pruskowski, a nurse navigator, thanked Helen DeHaven (LLS) and Tony Babcock from Subaru for coming out. Cheryl told Tony that the Subaru blankets have been greatly appreciated in the past by the patients who received them. Tony was honored to be participating in this partnership as his wife is a cancer survivor. Subaru delivered 8 boxes of blankets to the hospital which Cheryl, Tony, Helen and 2 nurses from the hospital helped to carry them all in to the Women’s Center together. The blankets would be distributed at a later point. Helen (LLS) then was able to go to the Hematology and Oncology office to put out our LLS “Here to Help” Literature. The office was more than happy to accommodate and placed them in the waiting room.Thank you to Reedman-Toll Subaru, LLS and Brandywine Hospital for helping bring light and warmth to these patients.
