Engineered for All the Miles Ahead

Longest-Lasting Vehicle in Its Class

The Impreza is built for the long road ahead. In fact, 95% of Impreza vehicles sold in the last 10 years are still on the road today. Kelley Blue Book named the Subaru Impreza as the Best Resale Value in its class for 2020. The Impreza has also had the highest residual value in its class for four years running. Just some of the reasons why the Impreza is the best-selling all-wheel drive compact car.

152-hp Direct-Injection SUBARU BOXER® Engine

Drawn from more than 50 years of intelligent performance, the unique SUBARU BOXER® engine has pistons that move side to side, canceling out each other's vibrations so it can run more smoothly and efficiently. This horizontal layout also offers better balance while delivering a maximum transfer of power. It also features direct injection for improved performance and fuel economy.

Always Comfortable and Connected

Right-Sized, High-Quality, Comfortable Interior

The Impreza features a refined, spacious interior with high-quality soft-touch materials, contrast stitching, and plenty of space for passenger comfort. The roomy 2021 Impreza offers up to 100.9 cu. ft. of passenger volume - more than the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, or Mazda3, just to name a few. Combined with the large cargo area and wide rear gate opening on 5-door models, the Impreza is prepared for almost any adventure.

SUBARU STARLINK® Multimedia

The 2021 Impreza features STARLINK Multimedia with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration. Wireless pairing and hands-free smartphone operation allow for safe and easy connection to your favorite apps and content. Safety and Security

Standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology

Every 2021 Impreza now features standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which monitors traffic movement, optimizes cruise control, and warns you when you're swaying outside your lane. The Automatic Pre-Collision Braking feature can apply full braking force and bring you to a complete stop in emergency situations. Lane Keep Assist can even help you steer back into your lane. Another way Subaru designs vehicles with your safety in mind.

All-Around Awareness Technologies

The 2021 Impreza features an entire suite of available safety technologies to help protect you and your passengers. The Blind-Spot Detection system warns you with a visual indicator in each side mirror if it senses a vehicle in your blind spots. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps warn you of traffic approaching from the side as you back up. With available Reverse Automatic Braking, your vehicle can even stop itself to help avoid objects behind you.

What powers the 2021 Subaru Impreza?

Subaru has made itself known for the Boxer engine, with the cylinders moving back and forth in a flat-four pattern horizontally instead of vertically. The Impreza is propelled by a 2.0L flat-four Boxer. This kicks out 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. The engine sits lower in the engine bay than inline-four engines, creating a lower center of gravity which enhances the Impreza's stability. The Base and Sport trims come linked to a manual transmission while others are paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Of course, all this is in control of Subaru's world-renowned all-wheel-drive system.

What trim levels and features does the 2021 Impreza have?

There are four trim levels that make up the 2021 Subaru Impreza lineup. All trims come in either a sedan or hatchback body style. Kicking things off is the Base trim bringing awesome standard features like a 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, all-wheel drive, a five-speed manual transmission, and 16-inch steel wheels. The Premium trim adds in a CVT, EyeSight Driver Aids, heated front seats, dual rear USB ports, 16-inch alloy wheels, and selectable drive modes. The Sport trim brings sport seats, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, sport-tuned suspension, active torque vectoring, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a black rear spoiler. Topping off the lineup is the Limited trim. This adds remarkable features like leather upholstery, blindspot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, reverse automatic braking, 17-inch alloy wheels, and LED headlights.

2021 Subaru Impreza safety features

Subaru has always prided itself on providing vehicles that are as safe as they are capable and comfortable. Standard safety equipment includes front, front side, side curtain, and driver's knee airbags. The Impreza also offers Subaru EyeSight standard on all automatic transmission variants. EyeSight includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking. Blindspot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the Limited trim and optional on the Premium and Sport trims. This keeps an eye on the vehicles in your blind spot while changing lanes and on any objects behind you when reversing out of a parking spot. Reverse automatic braking is standard on the Limited trim and will automatically apply the brakes when a collision appears to be imminent while reversing.
